Is it too late to create an online course?

In 2020, COVID freaking rocked our world.

Almost every industry had been turned on its head…EXCEPT for online education.

Just last year, the global e-learning market reached a value of $222 BILLION (yes, BILLION with a B). And by 2026, it’s estimated to reach $457.8 BILLION.

Maybe you’ve been thinking about joining the ranks of online course creators but you’ve had the same fears I did when I started…

  • It’s too saturated!

  • I won’t make any money teaching what I want!

  • I’m not an expert!

So is it too late????

HECK. NO. The right time to create an online course is right now!

Let me break down each of these fears:

1. It’s too saturated

Have you seen how much the market is going grow? At least $236 billion over the next 5 years. That’s:

  • $47 billion PER YEAR

  • $4 billion PER MONTH &

  • $128,000,000 million PER DAY

There’s definitely enough pie for all of us.

2. I won’t make any money teaching what I want!

Okay, before you stick to this belief, let me show you something….

The Life Progression Project has had over 10,000 students in their course: How to Solve a 3x3 Rubiks Cube for Beginners Start to Finish. Even if they sell it for the Udemy price of $9.99, they’ve potentially made $100,000.

Then we have Melanie Monteiro who has had 12,000 students who have taken her Dog CPR, First Aid class. With a Udemy sales price of $13.99, she’s made close to $170,000.

Last, but not least, Ian Juby has had over 27,000 students in his course on robotics. Priced at $13.99 (during a Udemy sale), he’s potentially made $380,000.

These topics are all over the board and have made tons of $$$!

3. I’m not an expert!

You don’t need a Ph.D. to be an expert BUT you do need to be two steps ahead of the people you want to teach.

Think about this:

  • Is there something you’ve achieved that you could help people achieve too?

  • Do you have experience in a skill that other people would be interested in learning?

Example:

  • Maybe you had a child that didn’t want to learn how to ride a bike. But with a few tricks, your child is now riding that bike to the cul-de-sac and back. I’m sure there are other parents just like you!

  • Maybe you’ve had bariatric surgery and your first few months were absolutely horrible! So, you want to teach other people who have had this surgery a few tips and tricks so that they don’t go through the same thing.

Okay, so by now I’ve hopefully convinced you that it’s not too late to create an online course.

There is a group of people out there with a problem that only you can solve.

Are you ready?
